Grethe Vaughan, Vizolution COO, meets with Government Ministers at roundtable focused on the future of the Tech sector in Wales.
Last week Vizolution COO Grethe Vaughan took part in a roundtable, hosted by Minister for Digital and Creative Industries Margot James, discussing the growth of the Technology industry in Wales. Held at the Palace of Westminster, the discussion was part of Wales Week in London, which celebrates all that Wales has to offer and promotes industries flourishing in Wales.
Grethe was joined by over 15 other Tech leaders from companies across the country. Topics up for discussion included the funding available for Tech start-ups in Wales and the recruitment and development of new talent. Taking place on International Women’s Day, improving gender diversity within the Tech industry was also high on the agenda.
Grethe said, “we are very proud of our Welsh base at Vizolution, and so it is great to see the Government looking to support digital hubs in Wales, as well as helping to develop new talent. It was a pleasure to be invited alongside other industry leaders to discuss the future of the Welsh Tech sector and celebrate its achievements”.
Minister for Digital and the Creative Industries Margot James said that the event was a “great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the Welsh Tech sector and discuss how we can continue to support our world-class entrepreneurs and digital innovators across the country”.
