Vizolution is thrilled to be among the prestigious businesses and individuals shortlisted in the inaugural Wales STEM Awards.
We join 41 other innovative companies to be named finalists in the highly anticipated awards, which celebrate those making a difference to, and championing, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) in Wales, and helping drive forward this sector of the Welsh economy.
After bring nominated in the STEM Scale up of the Year category, the judges thought Vizolution should also be shortlisted in the STEM Company of the Year category, for organisations with between 26 and 250 employees.
Head judge Louise Bright, founder of the Wales Women in STEM network, said: “The calibre of those nominated has been second to none and we have been overwhelmed by the number of entries. We really feel that our shortlist represents some of the most progressive organisations and individuals at the forefront of STEM innovation in Wales.
Lee Waters, the Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport at the Welsh Government, commented “STEM is a key Welsh Government priority and we are committed to ensuring that all learners have an equal opportunity to reach the highest standards in science, technology and maths. I welcome the inaugural Wales STEM Awards and its celebration of the importance of STEM and Wales’ STEM stars – inspiring and raising aspirations of the next generation”
The nomination for the Wales STEM Awards follows hot on the heels of Vizolution also being nominated in partnership with RBS at both the UK Business Awards 2020 and the UK Digital Experience Awards 2020.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday 12th November at Cardiff City Hall, with money being raised on the night for the awards nominated charity partner, Cancer Research Wales.
