According to The New York Times, the Web Summit annual technology conference held in Lisbon, attracts “a grand conclave of the tech industry’s high priests.” In illustrious company, Vizolution has joined the world’s biggest companies, the most promising new start-ups, influential investors, and leading journalists to showcase our innovative solutions and our unique philosophy.
We caught up with Fabio Tessera, Vizolution’s Vice President of Sales for Central and Southern Europe after a busy first day.
Fabio, you’re based in Italy, but spend much of your time travelling around Europe visiting clients. What are you most looking forward to at Web Summit?
Firstly, I’m looking forward to sharing the good news of our recent investment round. To have the backing of three of the world’s biggest banks is testament to the capability and potential of our technology.
There’s a reason why Web Summit is known as the best technology conference on the planet. I’m not too sure about the planet, but it’s certainly one of the best in Europe! There’s going to be 70,000 people joining the event over the three days from Europe and around the world.
It’s great to be back again this year and demonstrate how we support enterprises to streamline the complexity of their customer journeys by using digital technology that replicates the qualities of face-to-face interactions within remote channels.
There’s a wealth of topics being discussed throughout the three-day event. Are you planning on attending any?
There’s a talk on Day 2, ‘A Better World with AI’ led by Young Sohn, President and Chief Strategy Officer at Samsung that I’m keen to listen to. At Vizolution, we recognise the role that artificial intelligence can play in different industries, especially for simple processes and transactions, but regardless of how advanced AI becomes, there will always be a need for human interactions and human contact.
When customers need either a high level of understanding or to be reassured about products or processes, or when the business has a high number of internal requirements it must meet, like compliance obligations or collecting documentation customers crave reassurance and expertise that they can only get from human support.
There’s lots of workshops, round-table discussions and different stages at Web Summit. Anything else you’re looking forward to?
Yes, there’s lots of stages and areas at Web Summit, many of which have quite interesting names. There’s even a SaaS Monster area, which, of course, as a SaaS company, we’re keen to explore and share opinions and insights with fellow industry insiders.
There’s also a PandaConf area for example, which will be hosting a talk called: ‘Winning trust: the delicate balance between technology and human’. This deals with issues that are at the very core of what we believe at Vizolution and why our technology is so transformative.
Our solutions combine the qualities of face-to-face with the convenience of digital and the cost of remote, offering a customer-centred human approach in an increasingly digital world.
Thanks Fabio. Good luck with the rest of the conference.
